Dallas Cowboys wide received Terrell Owens (81), of the NFC team, smiles as he he walks by Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (9) after the NFL Pro Bowl football game in Honolulu, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008. The NFC defeated the AFC 42-30.
It looked like the AFC would get some measure of revenge after not taking home the Lombardi Trophy. However, the NFC overcame a 17-point deficit to win the NFL Pro Bowl.
Adrian Peterson took home MVP honors after rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.
The honor also could have went to Cowboys Terrell Owens, who caught two TD passes, including the game-winner in the NFC's comeback 42-30 victory over the AFC.
But it was Peterson's debut that was most impressive. He finished off the scoring with 2:43 remaining.
"Can I top this?" Peterson said, repeating a question as he leaned against the Cadillac. "Yeah, you always set your bar high."
The AFC leads the series 20-18 in the NFL Pro Bowl.
