Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Nathan Jones signed a two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins on Friday, bolstering their special teams.
Jones has 26 tackles on special teams in his four-year career with the Dallas Cowboys. He has made only one start at cornerback but played extensively as a reserve last year, when he had 29 tackles and one sack.
Miami earlier signed Keith Davis, another special teams standout for the Dallas Cowboys, and kicker Dave Rayner.
The Dolphins have repeatedly tapped the Dallas Cowboys pipeline since former Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells became Miami's executive vice president of football operations in December. Jones will be reunited with Todd Bowles, the dolphins new assistant head coach and secondary coach, who was with the Dallas Cowboys the past three years. With the NFL team Miami Dolphins tapping into the Dallas Cowboys pipeline it looks like this year's draft might be very interesting for the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones will definitely have to make sure this year's draft pays off in order to make a run for the Super Bowl.
