The NFL team that could do no wrong last season has been hit with accusations that poisoned New England last year. The Patriots made news last year for Spygate when they were caught illegally filming the New York Jets during the preseason to figure out their secret sideline calls. The Patriots were an NFL team destined to make football history. It didn’t happen. A perfect season gone to waste in the wake of a Super Bowl upset. As if this news wasn’t depressing enough to the many that believed in the miracle team, now they are in the headlines again for more Spygate developments.

A former Patriot video assistant has been in talks with the NFL to release damaging information surrounding the illegal taping of the competition. For an NFL team to become the best by means of cheating negates their entire reputation of being the best. If this video assistant releases what I think will be more allegations of cheating, the Patriots will be considered nothing more than talented cheaters.
