NHL team: get one, if you're a true sports fan. |

It's the season--it's the time of year for hockey's holiest grail quest--the quest for the Stanley Cup.
And, I do believe it's one of the oldest, if not the oldest professionally awarded sports trophy.
But, who cares about hockey anyway, right?
Well, in my opinion, if you ever want to call yourself a true sports fan, and you don't have an NHL team to follow, you're not a true sports fan.
Instead, what you really are is a sports specialist, masquerading as a true sports fan.
Here's how it works: if you're a sports fan that has no NHL team selected, you're missing out on one of the fastest games out there. Any NHL team in action will run circles around any MLB team, NBA team, or any NFL team. And, before you go getting all upset, I love MLB, NBA play, NFL team action, and pro soccer matches.
But then again, I also love NHL team competition. Really, if all you are is a football, basketball, soccer, or baseball fan, you can't hope to call yourself a true professional sports fan.
But, if you choose to follow an NHL team for a season, learn the rules to hockey, and then get passionate about the playoffs, you'll be a true sports fan.
So, watch the end of the Stanley Cup playoffs to view some great hockey, then choose a team to follow for next year--this will get you in training to be a true sports fan. |
