nfl, dallas cowboys The NFL is coming to a close at least in the regular season and teams like the Dallas Cowboys are in a tough spot in terms of post season play. The remaining three games are not going to be easy. Well the Washington Redskins should be but the lossless Saints this week and then the Eagles who are now leading the NFC East will not be pushovers. As anyone who follows the NFL saw this Sunday, the San Diego Charges stuck down the Dallas Cowboys, just barley winning 20-17 as seen in the recap video below.

<--Their Stadium Still Looks Good

As we all know, strange things happen in the NFL. The Cowboys still could make the playoffs and heck could possibly win a Super Bowl. Don’t even want to see what the Vegas odds on this happening are but it is a possibility.

December has been a tough month for Tony Romo. Call it the Holiday Curse or just bad luck but everyone’s favorite last month of the year is not turning out to be so jolly for the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t want to sell Romo short though. According to ESPN, Romo has thrown five touchdowns with no interceptions their past two December games. Their losses have been close but in the end, they are now 8-5. The Eagles who are leading the division are 9-4. There is still room to work for Romo. I just hope the disappointing injury to star Cowboy linebacker DeMarcus Ware turns out ok for him and the team. There is nothing scarier then neck injuries in sports and life.

What it will take is a win this week against the Saints. The Eagles face the 49ers this week and unless they go the way of Warner and the Cards I don’t see them losing to San Francisco. What that means is heading down south to New Orleans and beating a team who can’t remember what it is like to lose. No matter what happens though this is going to be an interesting post season of the NFL. Who would have thought two teams would have gone this far without losing. Who thought Favre would look like he was 25 again. And who thought the Patriots would have such a lackluster season. I’m just excited for the Super Bowl next year. It is weird to say but we are rounding out the end of 2009 and it will soon be another crowning of an NFL champion.
