NBA teams and game analyst Charles Barkley will return this week after a drunken driving arrest in Scottsdale, AZ. According to Turner Sports, Barkley would be joining hosts Ernie Johnson and Kevin Smith for the feature “Inside the NBA”. Turner Sports acknowledge and welcomed back Barkley, who stated that he used poor judgment and that he will take full responsibility and apologized for his actions. Barkley’s absence in NBA team and NBA games analysis left him out from the coverage of the NBA All Star Game. He would have played an essential role in the TNT coverage of the top players in the NBA held in Phoenix. TNT made an average 6.8 million viewers for Sunday nights game. This marks an eight percent increase when compared to last years coverage of the annual NBA event. The festivities of the NBA All Star Weekend began last Friday and starred the brightest young talent at the U.S. Airways Arena. Some of the coolest features of NBA All Stars were the HORSE game between Durant, OJ Mayo, and Joe Johnson. Instead of spelling HORSE, they replaced it with GEICO – obviously a marketing tool the insurance company bought out.
