The Super Bowl is a little more than a week away, and the sports world is talking about the Arizona Cardinals making it to the Super Bowl. It's an amazing feat for this NFL team which historically was one of the lowest ranked teams in professional football. It's refreshing to see the underdog make it this far, and Phoenix fans are bouyed by their championship title win. As an Arizona resident, I'm definintely watching the game on Super Bowl Sunday, and wish them all the best in their valiant effort to win the big game.
You can be sure that traffic will be light on freeways in the Phoenix metro area on Super Bowl Sunday, and stores are likely to be empty, too. If you're not a football fan, it might be a good time to go shopping or go on a hike, because you will certainly not have the traffic or crowds to deal with. I would bet that lots of people tune in though, because the Super Bowl is part of American culture, whether or not people like or understand football. It makes for good water cooler talk, and the commercials are so much fun to watch. GO CARDINALS. |
