dallas cowboys, nfl teamThe Dallas Cowboys may have won last weekend 26-20 in overtime against the terrible Kansas City Chiefs but they lost the public relations battle after a Fox Network and Burger King commercial (attached below) aired during halftime. The ad left a bad taste in many people’s mouths especially the larger lady community. Directed towards the heavier Jessica Simpson, by a cartoon Dallas Cowboy locker room of two players and the coach, the fat jokes really come out of nowhere. I have never seen a big name like Burger King release an advertisement that blatantly made fun of someone for no reason at all.

 The creator of the cartoon must have a beef with how Romo has been playing for the Dallas Cowboys this season and blamed it on his heavy ex-girlfriend. I’m not normally someone to complain about a joke crossing the line but to compare a girl to a defensive lineman because of her weight in a family setting is not right. If it were a stand up routine or Adult Swim cartoon I’m fine with any harassment the writers can dish out but this was not the right medium for this kind of mean spirited humor, true or not.
