nfl team, nflThe Atlanta Falcons is my favorite NFL team.  I have been an avid fan for about 30 years.  I remember when they first started making some noise...and what a noise it was for Atlanta!  We were so thrilled.  At that point in time, I didn't get to go to the games; but, I fiercely watched the television, and I yelled with the best of them.

My daughters were cheerleaders from ages six through college, and I learned more about football than my husband.  I loved the game, and I respected the talent it took to play such a rough, complicated sport.  These guys were my heroes, and although they have not had an overall great record, I still love to watch them play.

I must say, when Michael Vick joined the team...I was amazed at the talent.  I had never seen anything like it throughout my entire football-watching career.  I even asked for a Michael Vick jersey for Christmas one year.  It was a rude awakening when he was charged and found guilty of his crimes.  I know the disappointment we all felt at his decisions; but, the NFL team must go on...and I still watch, and I still love my Falcons!
