I am really intrigued by the Dallas Cowboys after watching how amazing a season that one of my favorite football teams of all time had last year. One of the reasons is because they finally broke their playoff curse, and the Dallas Cowboys actually won their first playoff game in years. However, after noticing that their roster has only changed slightly, and after seeing how their all star quarterback, Tony Romo, has really progressed with his leadership skills, you can bet that the Dallas Cowboys are one of the teams that will really be at the top of my watch list for the 2011 season. I think that I also have to state here that I will be keeping a close eye on the Arizona Cardinals as well, as after seeing Kurt Warner retire, and the future of Anquin Boldin being uncertain, as well as an uncapped salary year occurring, anything could happen. No matter what does ensue, one can be certain that it is going to be an exciting year in the NFL for sure this coming season!

All sports fans, also check Shop Sports Warehouse for some great buys on all sports products, and memorabilia.

The fifth seed Phoenix Suns will host the NBA Western Conference leading Lakers tomorrow in the desert. Since the extremely physical game this past Saturday, which left Frye suspended for fighting, the Suns have been resting for Friday’s game. This game is extremely important not only to prove, the Suns have an ability to beat LA if they meet post season but because they are currently sitting one game behind the Jazz in the Western Conference. The Lakers have won 1 of their last 4 and almost lost that one game against the just above .500 Raptors. Now the Suns aren’t statistically good at home. They play up to their opponents away from home. This will not be an excuse to lose.

With something like 18 NBA games left, the clock is ticking to secure post season match ups. I would really like to see Phoenix beat out the Jazz or the Mavericks. It is a real NBA possibility. Containing Kobe is key. We can’t afford him to hit another last second game winner. We need an 8 point lead coming into the fourth.

All sports fans, also check Shop Sports Warehouse for some great buys on all sports products, and memorabilia.

I became a fan in 1991 and the Suns are the first and only NBA team i have ever rooted for. It's been a long road waiting for a championship. Every time the Suns have been in the NBA playoffs I've been watching and rooting and hoping for the big trophy. The Suns almost had it back in 1993 but had it taken away by Michael Jordan and the Bulls in the sixth game of the final NBA playoffs round. We still had a big celebration and parade for the Suns in Phoenix. Everyone was so proud of them just for winning the Western Conference and for going as far as they did against the almost indestructable Bulls.
Nowadays the Suns are about eight games out of the lead in the Western Conference. There's still plenty of time but there is lots of competition. Competitors like Cleaveland's LeBron James and the Laker's Kobe Bryant are intent on winning it all. The Suns team is good and getting better all of the time. The team is definitely working towrds unity of purpose and action. With Steve Nash's intelligent leadership the Suns can take the NBA playoffs this year.
The Suns are playing the Pacers tonight. I'm not going to try and guess the outcome of the game at this point. I'm a firm believer that the Suns are capable of beating any team in the NBA all the way up to the final NBA Playoff game - as long as they relax and play happy under Nash's leadership.

Fans of sports are like that. We do not give up on our favorite sports teams just because they lose all the time. We are optimists who hope for a change and are willing to stick with our sports teams until they do begin winning. Summer and MLB just go hand in hand as far as I am concerned. I played baseball from Little League through high school baseball and I will always be a big fan. My grandson is now plating Little League and we practice together with my offering any advice I can, and then the family attends all his games. Win or lose we always go out for ice creme after his games and I hope he is realizing that while winning is good he can still take satisfaction from a loss if he played as well as possible. To me, this is what sports are all about.

With Kobe disappointed from taking another loss, it was a moment for the Suns to pick up another game in the Pacific Standings. With the NBA Western Conference so close, a win by either the Suns or Jazz was going to be big news. So Phoenix started with a quick lead, that carried through until the fourth quarter. They were firing on all cylinders. Grant Hill was taking charges like it was his rookie season. Amare was creating his own highlight reel and J-Rich knocked down a couple clutch threes.

<--Great NBA Game

At of all times for the Jazz to start shooting threes, it was last night.
Sports Headline: Animosity on Women’s USA Olympic Skiing Team

Some American Olympic ski fans have started calling Vancouver, “Vonncouver” after Lindsey Vonn won Gold in a fairytale story anyone following the 2010 Games for the past week heard about. Every four years there are stars born for each Olympic qualified country. They are the people who captivate us with their drive to succeed after coming back from injury, those who faced great odds qualifying for the Games or those have already been big winners and called the world’s best. Vonn dealt with injury but has always been considered one of the best downhill female skiers in the world. She does have teammates though.

Yesterday seen in the sports recap video above, Vonn crashed out in a slalom run, which ended up breaking her pinky. Still on the course, her teammate Julia Mancuso, who I had not heard squat about until this incident, was told to start her run. After flying through the slalom course almost all the way down in record time sports refs flew a yellow flag to restart because staff was still trying to get Vonn off the course. After the restart, Mancuso did not do so hot. This created a firestorm between the two that is all the buzz in sports news today.

Mancuso probably speaking for all the American women skiers outside the Olympic spotlight has been hammering home the point Vonn is not the only champion in women’s female skiing. While they are representing the same country, they are still competing against each other and I understand why she would be pissed. I can’t imagine how much energy it takes to maneuver back and forth through a sports slalom course. To blow all that energy in a super fast run before being told to restart and do it on a half empty tank is hardly fair. On the other side, we have seen bad calls or huge plays restarted after an unfortunate flag in the NFL, NBA, NHL and every other big sport. It is part of the game.

With the Olympic Games coming to an end I don’t know if the animosity between the American female ski team is going to subside but I do hope it creates a larger fire for athletes like Mancuso to come back and finish her remaining runs at 110 percent. As for my most anticipated Olympic game, the U.S. hockey match against Finland and then hopefully Canada in the Championships. Now that is the perfect way to close out the 2010 Winter Olympics.

NBA Trade News Had Me Going Wild

Anyone who has been following the Western Conference in the NBA probably has at least heard a sound bite about the potential trade of star Phoenix Suns forward Amare Stoudemire. I was shocked to hear how close the Cavs were to working a deal to trade Hickson and Ilgauskas for Stat. Phoenix is my go to NBA team and I have Amare to thank for that. I didn’t grow up in the desert but after going to school down there, the fast paced all offense attack paired with the best assist man in the game and a true power forward had me turncoat on hometown allegiances.

Over the past few seasons, the Suns have tried to rework their formula to make a championship. Nothing has worked. Trades, changes to the offense, a new coach, it all turned out to be over thought NBA nonsense. The Suns seem to work best on the road and that is it. They are a team of veterans peppered with young talent. One that thinks the strongest defense is a fast offense. Losing Amare would have killed this image for me.
This morning while reading sports news, the first thing that caught my attention was a ESPN news broadcast reporting on the failed Amare trade. You should have seen me. I kicked out the computer chair, started running around, arms out like an airplane while my roommate stared in wonder at the kitchen table. From there I texted every Suns fan I know.

What I didn’t know was the Cavs were not the only team vying for the big man. Miami too really wanted Stat. Another fantastic Suns player traded to Miami would have extinguished my allegiance for this team. There is still sort of a burn for losing Marion first to the Heat. All of the trade talks didn’t affect Amare’s performance last night even though they fell to the Mavericks by ten points. He still was points and rebound team leader. Nash had 12 assists according to ESPN. To be fair if Amare would have went to the Cavs I think they would have been NBA champions this year. We will never know and now I hope the Suns give Stoudemire what he wants for his one-year option after this season concludes.

The meat and potatoes of the Western Conference is really close as at the top of the food chain the Lakers keep winning. The Suns need to end no less then the 4th seed to have a chance in the NBA post season. I’m getting tired of them falling short in the playoffs.

Most Memorable Super Bowl 2010 Moments

All team sports information says this was one of the most outstanding Super Bowl games to watch. This article below will explain to all sports fans how exciting this years' Super Bowl was to watch.

Well, if you love the game of football, then you probably enjoyed this year's outstanding Super Bowl game that was so awesome to watch. This was the third year in a row that this game was truly worth watching, unlike the games from the years prior to then.

Now, the Indianapolis Colts were heavily favored to come away with the victory at the Super Bowl, but, much to everyone's surprise, the New Orleans Saints won instead. This was largely due to the fantastic way that Drew Brees and the rest of the Saint's offense performed in the game; however, their defense did equally as well when dealing with the Colt's quarterback, Peyton Manning.

So, let's discuss down some of the highlights of Super Bowl XLIV. Perhaps you didn't get to see the game; if that is the case, then these are the things that you would want to know about.

He started off a little shaky, but once that passed, Drew Brees had an almost perfect game. He began it by only getting three completions from the first seven attempts, but then he went on to complete 29 out of the next 32 attempts. He finished the game with an impressive total of 32 completions out of 39 attempts with 288 yards, no turnovers and 2 touchdown passes.

These statistics are truly superb and, of course, Brees received the award for giving such an efficient performance as a quarterback in this Super Bowl.

Let's not take anything away from Garrett Hartley, the Saint's young kicker. He attempted and made all three of his field goals from 44, 46 and 47 yards. These were vital in helping them to win, considering that they were losing to the Colts whenever he made two of them.

Last but not least, Peyton Manning, the quarterback for the Colts, sure stirred up a lot of controversy when the game was over. He quickly left the field without offering a handshake or even saying congratulations to any of the players on the Saints team.

The custom is that the players on the losing team will congratulate the players on the winning team, so what Manning did is being called poor sportsmanship by a lot of people. To the contrary, Drew Brees stated that he does not hold anything against Manning because he knows how that frustration feels.

There's no better way to watch a big game like the Super Bowl on a nice HD television set. If you own a flat screen TV, you'd probably benefit from a wall bracket. Learn more about this device at http://wallbracket.org for some great information that may be useful to you.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Pam_Donaldson

How to Succeed with Black Bear Hunting

All team sports information thinks every big game hunting person should read this article below on black bear hunting and should participate in it at least once every year.

Black bears seem to be overpowering the openness of much of the United States as well as most all of Canada. As such, black bear hunting has become a favorite practice of hunters. Uncountable hunters admire black bears for their immense size and stigma that comes along with shooting a black bear - they are hefty, menacing beasts and accomplishing the kill may feel quite exciting.

Bears are not foolish brutes by any means; they have really sensitive noses that can smell scents from miles away. They are also put off by human scents. Even though black bears weigh 100's of pounds, they can stalk through forests almost silently. Because of this, they are famously troublesome to hunt. You might be interested now, what are the best methods to device the bear and claim him for your own? One of the most chosen and productive ways to hunt black bears is by baiting.

Black bears are associated with human dumping grounds for one immediate reason - they know they can get an effortless snack. As I explained before, they are not slow beasts! They are exceedingly partial to sweets such as pastries and breads. All you need to do is chuck some foul food in a large bucket and tie it to a tree. After that, give the bears a few days to pick up on the odors. Be sure that when you are going back to check on the bait that you are hushed and do not approach too quickly. Any sounds will scare away all bears and if they detect a human, they will seldom come back. Also, keep in mind their sense of smell. Most hunters choose to wash their clothes in a non-scented laundry detergent and then again with simple water to prevent as much fragrance as possible. They will infrequently utilize scented soaps, shampoos, or deodorants either. Bears are very responsive to human odors and as I explained previously, they can smell odors for miles away.

As soon as you have seen the bears are eating the bait, make sure you stay watchful. Bears can noiselessly stalk through woods, so do not rely on your sense of sound to discover bears, rely on your sight instead. As soon as you at last have that black bear in your sights, you now need to wait for him to get in the preferred stance for a prompt, clean shot. You do not want to miss the heart and lungs since that likely won't kill the bear, it will only injure him and annoy him, and then he may come after you. Be patient and wait for the shot where you can get him through both lungs so he dies practically immediately, that way the death was merciful and humane as well as favorable to you since you do not have to track him or fear him attacking you.

Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com
About The Author:

Mervin Sterle enjoys black bear hunting and effectually participates in it at least once every year. He has realized his preferred is Canadian hunting due to the vast wilderness and wondrous abundance of wild game available.

Over nine NFL games he had 55 tackles and one sack.

Pierce has spent the last five seasons with the Giants, and his tenure with New York included the incident in 2008 when former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh. Pierce was with Burress at the time but was cleared of all criminal charges.

Pierce said winning the Super Bowl was his proudest moment from a NFL team standpoint, while having the respect of his fellow players was his personal highlight.
Pierce still feels he can play, adding his neck injury should not be a problem if he wants to play a 10th NFL season.
Pierce, 31, played the first four years of his NFL career with the Washington Redskins. Over 124 career games, he has compiled 692 tackles, 8.5 sacks and seven interceptions.

All of the hype surrounding the Super Bowl kept me away from the fact NBA All-Star weekend starts Friday. I was sort of sad there wouldn’t be an NFL game on TV to watch with friends, beer and junk food this weekend but the dunk contest is going to quickly make those blues go away. I don’t remember ever watching the celebrity ball game but this year it is going to feature the likes of Chris Tucker, Mark Cuban, Pitbull and more. Apparently, all these celebs can ball. There will also be retired NBA veterans on each side to keep things interesting. This year the action is going down in Texas and the roster for the big game is pretty ridiculous. I was very happy to learn some of my favorite Phoenix Suns made the cut, Amare and Steve Nash. Along with their explosive talent will be Duncan, Kobe and Carmello for the West. Talk about the best in the west.

On the other side of the fence, LeBron, Wade, Garnett, Howard and somehow AI made it. For Dallas Cowboy fans, their lavish stadium will get another shot at some big season play as they host all these NBA festivities. I can’t imagine how awesome it must be for the lucky fans in the stadium to watch the dunk contest replays on their ridiculous HD monitor hanging from the rafters.

My fingers are crossed some of the younger players challenge each other in a dance off like we saw a few All-Star games ago between Shaq, Howard and LeBron. If you forgot what I’m talking about check out the hilarious video above. Who knew guys that large could move so gracefully? Shaq is the king of two things: rebounds and epic dance moves. Too bad he won’t be playing this year. To the credit of Jerry Jones, his massive stadium has the potential to hold more NBA fans then ever seen at an All-Star game according to NBA.com.

For guys, this All-Star game couldn’t be on at a better time. Right smack dab in late afternoon for the west coast on Valentine’s Day. I can only imagine how many romantic dinner’s out are going to have men asking their servers to turn the game up right as their girlfriends grab their hand and start whispering sweet nothings. Luckily, my girlfriend loves the NBA too. That should make things go a little bit more smooth when our romantic night out has me glancing up at some bar’s flat screen.

We had friends in and enjoyed everything about the game, commercials, and half time show. We hosted the party this year in celebration of getting a new home theater, and all our friends said that we had done a good job putting together our home theater components.

They also appreciated all the cooking I did for our NFL Super Bowl party. We had healthy snacks like fresh fruit, vegetable trays and dips, and of course, we served dinner since the NFL Super Bowl was on during the evening hours. It was during our dinner that the Saints clinched the title, and it's a good thing that we were eating burgers and dogs, because when they scored the winning touch down, we were all on our feet, celebrating this historic victory for the team and the city of New Orleans. I'd like to say the food was as exciting as the game, but that would be a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe next year...

Well, the Super Bowl turned out to be quite a football game. I have to admit I thought the Colts would win because of their quarterback Peyton Manning. I am not alone in feeling Manning is the best NFL quarterback playing the game currently and is a lock for the NFL Hall of Fame in the future. But the better team won this year's Super Bowl because in my opinion they wanted it more. The fake kick-off at the beginning of the second half was a stroke of brilliance by the Saints head coach and caught the Colts with their pants down. This gutsy call was HUGE in the Saints winning the game and my hat is off to the Saints for putting it on the line like that. When two NFL teams make it to the Super Bowl and are as evenly matched as these two teams, who wins the game often comes down to one play and this was a game winning play. The momentum swung to the Saints and they kept it for the rest of the game. Great Super Bowl and congratulations to the New Orleans Saints.

If there is one thing that goes hand in hand with adoring and following this sport and the many twists and turns that each exciting season has to offer, it would hands down be collecting different NFL football memorabilia. My cherishing of NFL football memorabilia all began when I was but a young kid, when my father got me my first piece of NFL football memorabilia – a Green Bay Packers helmet – when I was only four years old. I recall watching the games on his lap on Sundays, and that was when I first got hooked. Now, nearly twenty five years later, I can’t help but get my fill in each Sunday when the big game is on! Now that the season has officially come a close, there is plenty of Super Bowl NFL football memorabilia to get my hands on, and lots of off season activity to follow online to see what next season has in store for all of us NFL fans!
